Memorial Day is a day for honoring the men and women who lost their lives while serving in the United States military. The holiday is observed on the last Monday of May. On this day, Americans take the time to reflect on the sacrifices of those who have given and lost their lives in the military service.
At Upland Baptist Church we acknowledge our military members who have passed by reading their names and tolling a bell. We also participate in the Upland Borough Annual Memorial Day Parade which starts at our Church and concludes at the War Memorial located at Bristol Lord Field. Following a ceremony at the Memorial, Upland Baptist Church and Resurrection Life Church provide a picnic for the Upland community.
